Southern Time Productions

An arts and entertainment, social innovator, and social media company

A Music and Film Streaming Platform

At Southern Time Productions, we believe art can positively change the world. It’s that simple. We are committed to producing content with a conscience because what you choose to consume inevitably consumes you.

In today’s overly saturated market, consumers have limitless options for mindless streaming content. And while such can be entertaining, it’s not what we choose to put out there. We value our audience and believe our content should reflect the growing sensibilities of a globalized, more informed, and socially conscious world where stewardship is informed by awareness.

Through our fiction and non-fictional content, we will encourage people to become more self-aware and socially aroused to issues of global health, social, and environmental importance.

Are we idealistic? Absolutely. We believe the world is a place of limitless potential and growth and that art can be a catalyst for positive change.

‘Southern Time’ means time for the Global South to shine. The term ‘Global South’ is up for interpretation but, for us, it refers to anyone who feels marginalized, disenfranchised, discriminated against, and abused.

Thoughts create reality. Art is an extension of thought that has the potential to foster global movements that can positively change our world.

Dreamer

The Southern Time Band is the ‘rock opera band’ for the cinematic rock opera – soon to be in production – for the Dreamer series. The Dreamer series tells the true-to-life story of how Dreamer acquired HIV and what living with it has been like for him. The Dreamer series also serves as an archetypical question of what everybody faces to one degree or another – that being – will the Dreamer ever realize his dreams?

Timothy Bartsch, founder/creator, and director of ‘Dreamer’ explains the artistic and personal motivations behind directing the promotional trailer.

Documentary

‘Spots of light’ is a digital documentary that looks at how Tim Bartsch discovered he was HIV positive and his spiritual journey to finding light in his darkest hours.
